Oh my goodness...

Could it be? I am actually blogging? STOP THE PRESS! And I have no idea what I want to blog about because I am that behind. How about a few catch-up photos. Our kiddos Easter pic. Yup, it really has been that long.

With cousin Tate who matched us. And it wasn't even planned!

Our attempt at a family pic. Dave's dad took this. Not so easy if your eyes don't focus together!

Syd's kindergarten graduation picture. Full time school for two kids next year... CRAZY!!!

At Hires Big H after we took the kids to the zoo. We had a blast and Grant can't stop talking about the "Elpint" "muckey" and "Jaff" he saw there.

A few of baby Gray in his excersaucer.

Grants first split lip. And it was a doozy. Apparently he tripped in the garage and ripped it open on some kind of plastic lid or something. I was taking a nap and heard the screaming. And I didn't panic at all that blood or the fact that his lip was almost split all the way through and looked like ground hamburger. I am getting better! Shortly after this was followed by a few really good bumps to the head, a finger shut in the door (my fault) and the automatic closing van door shutting on his little thumb and nearly breaking it (yesterday). I am amazed there hasn't been an er visit with this kid yet.

This really deserves its own post so just pretend this is a new one.

And now for one of the THE MOST FUN NIGHTS OF MY LIFE - U2 360 TOUR!!! Those of you who know me well, know that I have been in love with U2 since... well forever. Ok, maybe not forever but I bought Achtung baby with my paper route money when it came out on TAPE in 1991, which made me 12 years old. I have been a loyal fan ever since and have had attending one of their concerts on my "Things to do before I die" list for a long time. I was thrilled when I found out they were coming to Salt Lake in 2010, and totally disappointed when I learned Bono had hurt his back and the show was cancelled right before they were scheduled to come. But alas! There was hope and soon news that they would continue their tour in 2011 and S.L.C. was 2nd on their list. There was NO WAY I was going to cash in those tickets. I had been patient for a year and the anticipation and excitement was at an all time high the day of the concert. And man... it was MORE than I could have ever dreamed.

According to the press: "The concert featured The Claw, a structure that allows 360-degree viewing of the concert. The 400-ton structure is the largest stage ever constructed. And according to Dave McKay, vice president for United Concerts, U2's 360 Tour is one of the largest shows to tour, ever." From The Daily Herald

It was honestly the most amazing show I have ever seen and was completely surreal. I had one of the most fun nights of my life and it was a blast sharing my enthusiasm with Dave. Who is now a MUCH bigger U2 fan after seeing them live.

To get a good idea of what this stage looked like:

A couple favorite moments of the night:

One of my favorite songs

Another great moment

And to give you another example of how crazy this stage was. You can't see it but at the top of the tower there was a giant disco ball shooting rays all over the audience. You can see the lights if you look closely. It was NUTS! Like a giant alien spaceship had touched down. I literally felt like I was in a movie set a couple times.

And how crazy I was

You can totally see how excited I was and I pretty much danced like that the ENTIRE time. And if you notice no one else is (WHO GOES TO U2 AND DOESN'T DANCE???? Apparently too many people). The other "dancer" was this big guy on the other side of Dave so he got bumped around by the two of us pretty much the entire time. He said he didn't mind and that it made it more fun.

Now the only problem is I want to see them AGAIN so badly. Hopefully they don't retire anytime soon.
