Stop right where you are...

I am needing to catch up on housework today :)
Dave is still looking... :(
I think Grant might be heading for round 2 with RSV :( :(
I really hope not. We don't have medical insurance at the moment :{
After indulging in many a Canadian delicacy (Ah Caramels are TOO a delicacy! and have you ever tried a CANADIAN Kit Kat bar? There is no comparing them I tell you), I am back on my diet :( Boring :P
I have book club tonight :)
Blake had been drawing the cutest pictures for me lately. They all say "I love Mom" :)
The sky is blue and the sun is out. I can almost smell spring :)
My baby is growing up. :{ Nooooo!

I want him to stay like this forever.

And don't even tell me that you are not wishing that you could reach through the computer screen and give those chubby little thighs a squeeze *heaven*.

On the fly...

Man, I love this little guy. I know these all look similar but I can't possibly decide which to post.

Home Again.

This past week was filled with a sorrow I can't begin to describe, but also love, charity, and bonds that were strengthened and can never be broken. It was also filled with gratitude for the blessing of eternal life that I know we all have.

To my Lyss... I love you. You, and Mum and Dad I., and Nana will be in our prayers continually. I will miss you little sister... until I see you again!

To my girlfriends - you guys are amazing. It was as if no time had passed and Michelle, all I can say is... wow.

To my parents & family, thanks for everything. Thanks for adoring my little "Goggy" as much as I do. Every time I see you and spend time with you, it is that much harder to live so far away.

I don't have many words yet. But I do have some photos of time spent with the family.

My dad has a little garden that is now asleep for the winter. It is small but charming and magical. I love looking out at it. So does he.

This little fairy looks out from atop the shed. She looks so lifelike sometimes!

I have to say, I think I have the cutest Daddy ever.

And Mum is pretty cute too, but she will never let me take her picture.

And my brother Isaac and his Katie (our Katie too!). (Adam, next time my lens will be aimed at you!)

And who can forget Dad entertaining Grant (and the rest of us), with his creative use of Valentine's decor...

Truly, Je t'aime.

Just a note.

I am off to Canada VERY early in the morning. One of my very best friends in the whole wide world has just lost her brother. And he was a friend to me as well. So I am going to go give her some hugs in person (which I have been wanting to do all day) and hopefully will just be one more person, of many, who is letting her know that she is loved, that he is loved.

Dave will be watching the kids - except for Grant who will be with me.

So if you send an email, or call (my phone doesn't seem to be working right), or whatever, you might not hear back from me for awhile.

I am celebrating the (earthly) life of another great guy named Dave.

Blog Stalkers Reveal Yourselves!

Ok, so my polls show that there are 16 people reading this blog (at least who took the poll), who I am unaware of. So I want to know, who are you? Where are you from? The polls show that I know who at least 8 of you are - which really makes me curious :) I don't care if I know you or not - if I didn't want you reading, I would make it private ;) Are you old friends? Old x's? (I know I am not that hard to find), old x's wives? LOL (I have to admit one of my favorite blogs these days is an old x's wife's blog - and yes, she knows I read!!!)

Please, come out of the internet "woodwork"! I want to know who you are, how you found my blog, why you enjoy it (or hate it!), and if you have a blog, I would like to see it too. Let's be friends :)

I wonder if anyone will actually respond to this...

Bibi Toesies

There is something so absolutely adorable about babies when they first learn to grab their toes. Grant has been doing this for about a week now. When he does it, I always have an urge to eat him.

Do you see what I am tempted with? Utter baby deliciousness. My sleeping h'orderve.

Oh so amazing.

I stole this from a friends blog, who stole it from her friends blog, but it is literally one of the coolest videos I have EVER seen. Ever. Really. Ever, ever. Look what photography can do!

Witch Hunt Anyone? (And LOTS of question marks)

Let me begin by saying I do have friends on the other side of this issue. But friends don't always have to agree :) I agree that everyone should have "rights" - but because of the religious aspect of "Marriage" - which I might add, historically, is religiously based in the first place; I am not in support of those equal rights coming with the "Title" of "Marriage". Support the "rights", not the changing of a definition that many hold sacred. Give the rights and lets think of a new definition that encompasses those rights. I agree with what Elton John said HERE.

What bothers me the most about this headline on MSNBC: "More than $83 million spent on Prop 8: Mormon church spent nearly $190,000 on effort to ban Calif. gay marriage"

is the fact that over five paragraphs of this article talk about the supposed $190,000 that the LDS (Thankyou) church spent "supporting" proposition 8 (wonder how they are calculating that considering they say payment of church employees is included however, most "church employees" actually volunteer their time, and they are also counting use of church buildings - most of which would have been opened and in use anyway) - ok, so back to FIVE PARAGRAPHS -

but wait a minute... down there? See that little tiny line? Let me make it a little easier to see:

"Focus on the Family, the evangelical Christian media empire based in Colorado, reported giving $657,000 in cash and services to promote Proposition 8."

So let me get this straight (no pun intended), the church "spends" (if you want to call it that), less than 1% of the total amount spent for the support of prop. 8 (see the headline again; 83 million), and we don't even come close to the amount the evangelical church has spent, yet WE are the focus of the media headlines, news and negative energy???? Most people I know paid a lot more than that for their HOUSE. We are talking about a church that has over 13 MILLION members.

I am not trying to throw the Evangelical empire under the bus, and I support the churches support. Just trying to say WHAT THE HECK? And we are getting a lawsuit thrown at us? *scratching my truly puzzled "Mormon" head*

Seems a little too reminiscent of Nauvoo times to me. How history repeats itself. Once again, the people that people love to hate.

*Sigh* just wishing understanding was politically correct for BOTH sides.

See for yourself Here.
