Easter in Photos

Decorating Eggs. I only got the messiest kit of them all with millions of tiny beads, glitter gel and GLUE. What was the thought process there?

The Easter Bounty. Little did I know that only a few hours after setting this all out and going to sleep (around 2 a.m. to be exact), Blake would come galloping into our room at mock speed announcing at the top of his lungs "THE EASTER BUNNY CAME! THE EASTER BUNNY CAME!". We had to have him sleep on our floor so we could monitor him for the rest of the night because the temptation was too great. I only caught him trying to sneak out around 4 more times, the last of which was around 4:00 am.

Easter Morning

Oh look! Isn't it funny that the Easter bunny brought Dave and I the EXACT SAME BOOK? The same one that Dave had happened to be wanting so badly? Hmmm, Dave got the book he wanted and I got the book Dave wanted...

Ready for church.

And the second one of this set describes what most of the photos I got looked like.

At Young Living Lavender farms the day before. The kids got to go on pony rides (their favorite), an Easter egg hunts, on the paddle boats in the pond and plant a pumpkin. Aunt Jen came and it was a lot of fun!

A Plethora of Updates.

So I haven't done a real update in awhile and a lot has gone on in the last few weeks! First things first. Blake learned to ride his bike all by himself. And if you watch about halfway through, you will be thoroughly entertained by some live dancing.

He makes his dadddy proud!

I have been feeling pretty good. Just really, really tired and I can't believe how much I have popped out already. I am already wearing some maternity clothes.

Sydney and I had a girls night out and we went to see Disney's Princesses on Ice. It was soooo much fun. I have never seen her so excited, even at Christmas time.

She got all dressed up in her princess finery and I even put a little makeup on her (which was so delightful to her). We got milkshakes to drink on our way up and as soon as she saw all the other little dressed up princesses she was on cloud nine.

I watched her face more than I watched the show.

Here are a few photos (just a few LOL). She was singing and dancing and putting on a show before we left. The last set really cracks me up. You can just SEE the drama while she is singing.

San Francisco was so much fun. I am in love with that area. In fact, if Dave ever needs to find a new job, I am going to make him look there. I expected it to be a little crazier and not so... green. I think Toronto makes SF look tame. The atmosphere, the charm and architecture, the food. I loved all of it. Thanks to the Weekley's for watching the kids and our home while we were gone, especially grandma and grandpa!

I didn't snap many pictures since we were only there for really a day and a half, but here are a few fun ones.

They had the MOST amazing window display in Macey's that I have ever seen...

This is what Dave spent half the day doing while we were supposed to be sightseeing (hey, he was working after all).

On the trolley... and they mean it.

It was a hazy day so this is about the best I got of the good old Golden Gate bridge.

Notice the name on this hotel/apartment/slum? It was in the not so nice part of town (which was very small I might add).

On our way to Fisherman's Wharf for some yummy seafood (don't worry, I stayed away from the Swordfish/Monkfish/Mahi Mahi and got some red snapper fish and chips instead - don't go when you are pregnant - darn that mercury!)

Being Spontaneous

Dave's mom offered to watch the kids for us if I wanted to go with him on his business trip this week. SO I AM IN SAN FRANCISCO! YEY! I have never been here before. First impressions? Very cool city, colorful, fun, and the surrounding areas are beee-oooo-t-ful.

It is a short trip, we left super early on Monday morning and will head back on Wednesday in the late morning. But it has been wonderful to get away just the two of us. One of those much needed recharging of the marriage batteries. LOL

I miss the kids but we are having fun. And I got to sleep the whole night through last night without getting up ONCE. It might have been that I didn't get as much water as I needed, or the fact that we woke up after only three hours of sleep, got on a plane, walked all day and my body SHUT DOWN. Whatever it was, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Pictures to come soon!

OH. MY. GOSH.

Heard by Sydney tonight during prayer after we told them we didn't have any treats.

"Dear Heavenly Father, Thanks for nothin."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

Wow - another little squirt.

So disregard my last email. I think I was majorly sleep deprived when I wrote that. For one, my appointment was TODAY not tomorrow (thank goodness for those nice reminders :)

For another thing, I am 8 weeks, not 9. Which I knew... I think I get ahead of myself sometimes.

So I had my appointment and besides having to wait for quite awhile with a impatient husband (I convinced him to come see the little peanut) and a rowdy son, all went well. My due date is just as I predicted, October 16th, but hopefully due to the size of not so wee babes (8/5 and 9/11), the doctor agreed that if this one followed the pattern, induction would be a good bet. Yey.

It is pretty amazing. Even though there really isn't too much to see, just seeing that teeny, tiny little fluttering heart is enough to melt me every time. It makes it all sink in... another little personality is going to join our family. I really feel blessed, and perhaps even a little more excited. Maybe it is the fact that I have been through it all twice before, or because it all flew by so fast with Blake and Syd that I am cherishing the chance at taking my time to enjoy this next little one instead of (hopefully) being so stressed out. I just can't wait.

Updates

Dave and I had a fun date last night. He got two tickets to the Jazz vs. Mavericks game for last night and the seats were up in the first row of the balcony which I thought was pretty good. It was a close game (JAZZ WON!!!) and Dave and I had a BLAST!

So I am sitting there watching the jumbo tron show people dancing crazily in the crowd and a girl flashes up and I was like, is that, nooo, it is! ANDREA! My friend Andrea was there on the jumbo tron for a split second! And wouldn't you know I spotted her in the seats a few rows back from the Jazz bench (it helped that you were wearing a bright pink vest!). I called her and she was able to spot me. I think I spent half of the game watching Andrea go crazy - she was by far the most enthusiastic member of the crowd in her section. LOL

I am feeling a little overwhelmed today with my to do list. I just hope I can avoid getting in one of those funks where I procrastinate all day because I don't know where to start.

Thanks to all for the congratulations and excitement about the baby. I have been feeling pretty good but I must admit I have been more tired with this pregnancy then with the previous two. The afternoon rolls around and I am ready for a nap, but of course my kids won't take naps anymore. And all the running around and waking up at night to soothe nightmarish kids doesn't help. I am ready for bed at 7:30 pm! I am excited to have some more energy when this first trimester ends.

My tummy is popping already, I was hoping this wouldn't happen so soon by my gosh. I am sure the tummy I never got quite rid of after Syd is helping with that. I am trying to accept that I will just have to wait until after the baby is born - at least now I can tell people that ask me if I am pregnant that I am! LOL

I have my first appointment on Friday. I will be going on 9 weeks. I can't wait! I am so excited to have another little one around. It has been awhile and I have been acutely aware that my babies are no longer babies, or toddlers for that matter. They are kids! I miss those babies already...
