Congratulations Matt and Sue (and Maeve) on the birth of beautiful FINN! Love you guys...
Nope, no internet yet. Just borrowing. Hopefully tomorrow. I am feeling horribly out of the loop.

Might take a bit...
Thanks for all your offers of help during the move! What great friends I have! I promise a housewarming party once things calm down a bit...
You might not hear from me for a little while. We have to move tomorrow, FINALLY, get everything hooked back up with the internet and what not and who knows how long that could take since there is only one provider out in Eagle Mountain.
Now I have to try and get some sleep. Might need some ambien assistance cause the only thing I can do is think about all the millions of things I NEED to do.
G'night my lovelies!

Finally!
We are officially the owners of a new home! YEYYYYYYYYY! It seemed like it was never going to happen for a little while - but as of this morning we have signed off!
We are moving on Saturday and it couldn't come minute too soon! I will be pretty busy for the next week so don't expect a lot of updates!!!

Ug.
I can't stand underwriters. The only thing that is getting me through this closing (wait, will that ever actually happen?) Is the large quantity of chocolate I have hidden here at my computer desk.
I didn't even know she knew HOW to say that!
My kids love it when I swaddle them and pretend they are babies. This morning I was doing that with Sydney and she was making all the regular baby sounds - prentending to be a baby - "Goo goo, gah gha, nah - hip-po-pot-ta-mus"!!!! LOL. Sometimes the most random things are the funniest things!
I have wanted to see "The Nativity Story" ever since it came out in the theatres, what, last Christmas? Anyway, they had the whole 4 DVD's for $20 at Blockbuster and being my father's daughter, I couldn't resist - especially since they had that as one of the choices. This weekend I finally got around to watching it and I LOVED IT. It was so well done and I learned a few things that I hadn't previously known. How would it have been to be Mary, knowing that she was carrying the Saviour of the world in her womb? Birth is such an amazing experience - so spiritual and I can't even imagine what that birth would have been like. I would love to have been there.
Especially since every belief I have revolves around HIM.

Fun with Photoshop...
My take on those adorable posters... And just guess which one is sassy and which one is sweet!

We should find out today if we are going to close on our house on the 23rd as planned or if we will have to wait until after the holiday. I. Can't. Wait.
Blake seems 100% today. One reader was kind to point out that her son got sick after visiting a water park and so I am wondering if that could have caused it? He was so violently ill for awhile there but it only seemed to last a little over 24 hours.
I should be packing. I should. But I'm not. Instead I am wasting time playing with photos. I am going to go and pack. Or try to...

OF COURSE!
Wouldn't you know it. A week before we are supposed to move, Blake comes down with a 104 fever and stomach upset... flu. Poor little guy. He is super sick, and that is NEVER good but especially when Daves insurance doesn't kick in until the end of the month.

Discovery Park
We took the kids up to Thanksgiving point to the Discovery Park there. They have a cute little maze with water features and beautiful gardens. The kids had a blast playing in the Noah's Ark water feature and we had fun watching them.

I think this is supposed to give you an idea of the root system of water plants. Didn't see many roots but it made for a cool photo!

It doesn't get much cuter than a 2 year old with a wedgie.

I love this photo. Blake in the bear cave.

You have to click on this one for the full effect.

I can't help it. I love doors.

Syd passed out within 5 minutes of the car ride home.

Everything seems right on track for our house closing Monday the 23rd. I am SO excited to be in our new house, but NOT looking forward to moving it all over. I meant to take pictures during our final walk through but the sheer bliss of it all caused me to have a brain fart. Probably better anyway - I want you to see it when it is all clean and pretty!
Oh and some exciting news is that my little brother Isaac will be getting married this summer while I am home! YEY! They are having a very low key wedding and have been engaged for awhile now, so don't worry, it isn't shot gun or anything - just a surprise date! YEY!!!!

Pregnant Lady Stalker...
So today I took the kids to the playland, and in an effort to grow my photography business, I decided to hang outside of Motherhood while my kids played on the rides so that I could scout for cute pregnant women. A cute couple went into the store and a little while later, the husband came out and sat on the bench in front of me. So I worked up the courage to approach him, let him know who I am, what I do and offered to do COMPLETELY FREE maternity photos for his wife if she was interested. He told me she would be, I pointed out my email address and cell number on the back of the card and then took the kids to get ice cream.
We were coming down the escalator, ice cream in hand, when I noticed the couple still in front of the store talking to two mall security guys with serious looks on their face.
I THINK THEY WERE REPORTING ME AS SOME KIND OF STALKER!!! I tried to make sure the husband saw me again so that if they wanted to come and ask me some questions then and there they could - not sure if he did...
I could be paranoid but seriously? What else could have happened that would cause them to flag down security guards!
I don't think I looked like THAT much of a bum. Not a lot of makeup, hair in a ponytail, plain blue scoop neck t-shirt, forgot jewelery and my wedding ring but HEY, I was with two toddlers! HELLO MOM!!!!
I was wearing JCrew flip flops. Con artists don't wear JCrew flip flops do they?
I dunno.
I miss Canada. Where everyone talks to everyone else at the bank or grocery store and not an eyelash gets batted.
Here you say hi to someone that you don't know and they look at you like you have three eyes!
Now just handing a business card to a woman with child makes me a psycho stalker.
*sigh*...
By the way, does anyone know any cute pregnant women who want free maternity photos? I had one scheduled last week but she went into labor... ON THE MORNING OF THE SHOOT! LOL

4th of July - The Grand Parade
We met Staci, Rod, Jaylee and Cruz in Provo for the Grand Parade that Dave and I have made a tradition to go to every year. It is always hot, we always sit right in the hot sun on the hard road and end up with sore bums and sweaty dirty kids. But the key is, we have fun.
Rod crying - he hates parades.

Staci looking hot in her Diva sunglasses!

Is it finally starting?

It was just a little hot in the sun.

Guy playing the national anthem on his rooftop with an electric guitar. I was hoping that he didn't fall and spoil the festivities. It added a nice touch though.

The firetruck sprays water and all the kids come running. This is them running out of the way afterwards, so they don't get run over!

Jaylee and Blake dancing to one of the marching bands (I LOVE marching bands, it is my favorite part besides the jets flying overhead).

Notice how they are in red, white and blue? We didn't plan that. Well, not together anyway.

They really are so cute together - best buds.

To keep the tired kids quiet in the car ride home we bribe them with sugar. Notice the dirty face? I caught her rubbing the soles of her flip flops all over her face??? Don't ask because I have no answer. I think she might have been licking the bottom of one... but I am not even going to go there.

Goings on...
I know I have been horrible at updating lately. There is just SO much going on I don't know where to begin.
I drastically reduced my hours on my other job and putting all of my efforts into Dilly Dally Art (see link on right). I should have a beautiful website soon courtesy of Nils (again, see Katrina link on right). We are exchanging photo sessions for website building. I am so excited about it!
Also, Dave and I have officially began house hunting. We found one that we love in Eagle Mountain in the Silverlake developement and have put an offer in, they have countered, we will counter... you know how it goes, playing the real estate game!
Dave started his new job today. He had to wake up at the crack of dawn to get to Salt Lake City by 8a.m. That commute is terrible. Hopefully we will be moved SOON!
Cross your fingers!!!
